BI Developer (Microsoft stack)
We are looking for a skilled BI Developer on the Microsoft stack to join Develogi who can independently design the data architecture, build reliable ETL / ELT processes and turn data into reports the business trusts. Knowledge of AI is a big plus.
What you'll do
- Designing the data architecture and data warehouses
- Building and maintaining ETL / ELT processes
- Creating data models and reports in Power BI
- Tuning the performance of SQL queries and data flows
- Looking after data quality and security
- Finding opportunities where AI can help with the data
- Gathering requirements together with the customer
What you need
- MS SQL Server and advanced T-SQL (stored procedures, window functions, query optimization, indexes, execution plans)
- ETL / ELT development: SSIS, Azure Data Factory or Data Factory in Microsoft Fabric (pipelines, Dataflows Gen2)
- Data warehouse design: Kimball, dimensional modeling (star / snowflake schema), SCD, incremental loading
- Data architecture design: Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse, medallion architecture (bronze / silver / gold)
- Power BI: data modeling, DAX, Power Query (M), Power BI Service, Row-Level Security
- Analytical models: SSAS Tabular / Azure Analysis Services, semantic models
- Git and database versioning (SQL Database Projects, DACPAC)

- Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Notebooks, Direct Lake, Real-Time Intelligence)
- Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure SQL Database
- Python / PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake, pandas
- dbt, Data Vault 2.0, metadata-driven ETL frameworks
- AI and ML: Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Foundry (formerly Azure AI Foundry), Copilot in Fabric and Power BI, Azure Machine Learning
- Preparing data for AI: RAG, vector search (Azure AI Search), embeddings, semantic models for LLMs
- Integration: REST APIs, OData, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Power Automate, Event Hubs
- Source systems: Dynamics 365 / Dataverse, SAP, Helios, Pohoda or other ERP and CRM systems
- DataOps and CI/CD: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Fabric Deployment Pipelines, Terraform / Bicep
- Tools: Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, ALM Toolkit, SQL Server Management Studio, VS Code (mssql)
- Data governance, quality and security: Microsoft Purview, Great Expectations, Microsoft Entra ID
- SSRS / Power BI Paginated Reports
- PL-300, DP-600 or DP-700 certification
